dc.description.extractThis special issue of Voices of Mexico is published jointly with the Publications and Editorial Development Department of the UNAM Office for Cultural Dissemination and Outreach. It reflects an exercise of what we could probably call academic diplomacy. It dedicates a series of articles by academics from the unam Center for Research on North America and the University of Texas at Austin (ut Austin) to evaluating this continuous back and forth gaze. Although covering diverse themes from different perspectives, these texts dialogue from the point of view of a genuine interest in the mutual knowledge emanating from both centers of learning.
